Lincolnshire Area British Chess Final

Fourteen boys from King's took part in the Lincolnshire Area British Chess Final at Lincoln Minster School.
This competition served as the qualifier for the National Semi Finals to be held in Derby in early July.
The results were as follows:
  1. Under 13 - Dan Southern and Will Taylor finished as runners up
  2. Under 14 - James Kelly won and James Wilson was runner up
  3. Under 15 - Conor Stewart won
  4. Under 17 - Jo Scarborough and Riaz Fazal were joint winners with James O'Neil a close third
  5. Others taking part were Haydn Godfrey and Sam Lee (who both narrowly missed qualification by 0.5), Jacob Storey, George Alton, Sam Lee, Sam Chan, Nathan McKiernon.

The following all qualified
Dan Southern, Will Taylor, James Kelly, James Wilson, Conor Stewart, Jo Scarborough, Riaz Fazal.
