In the second round of World Championship Match another "quick" draw was agreed. Yes, this is the conclusion of very superficial observer. However, topic Semi-Slav was played which started in the spirit of Chebanenko Slav and many of commentators, Nigel Short included, were of opinion that White had got some edge for very long time. The battle was quite interesting and it seemed to me that Boris Gelfand had had an upper hand a bit. Tomorrow there is a rest day so hopefully both players and their teams will get some new and fresh ideas how to continue in this battle.
