Recently I tried to present the players of the Pandora's Grantham Chess Team and among these players was also our star guest IM Colin Crouch. I downloaded from the official server of 4NCL his game against Michael Twyble, played on 15 January, 2012 and published it with my annotations.
Here is the game how it was downloaded in pgn format from 4NCL server:
Crouch,Colin S (2374) - Twyble,Michael (2274)
4NCL Barcelo Hotel, Hinckley Islan (165.1), 15.01.2012
1.d4 e6 2.e4 d5 3.Nd2 Nf6 4.e5 Nfd7 5.Bd3 c5 6.c3 Nc6 7.Ne2 cxd4 8.cxd4 Qb6 9.Nf3 Bb4+ 10.Kf1 f6 11.Nf4 fxe5 12.Nxe6 g6 13.Nfg5 Be7 14.Ng7+ Kf8 15.N7e6+ Kg8 16.dxe5 Ndxe5 17.Be2 Nb4 18.Be3 Qd6 19.Bc5 Qd7 20.Rc1 Bxc5 21.Nxc5 Qd8 22.h4 b6 23.Nd3 Nbxd3 24.Bxd3 Bb7 25.Rh3 Qd6 26.Re3 h6 27.Nf3 Ng4 28.Re1 Rf8 29.Qe2 Rf7 30.Qe6 Nh2+ 31.Nxh2 Qxh2 32.Qxg6+ Kf8 33.Bb1 Qh1+ 34.Ke2 Qxh4 35.Kd3 Qg5 36.Re8+ 1-0
The previous post you can see on this websiste.
The problem is, that during the transcription in the electronic version by a 4NCL functionary a mistake happened and instead of move 33.Bb1 which was recorded, the move 33.Bb5 was played.
This sort of inaccuracy changed completely the finish as well as the analysis of the game and I want to sincerely apologize to Dr Crouch for this error.
