Barcelo Hotel, Hinckley Island is the venue of another round of 4NCL which is being played this weekend.
The Pandora's Box Grantham played yesterday against the King's Head
and won 6:2!
Today Pandora's Box beat the Barbican 4NCL Youth 5.5:2.5! Pandora's Box is then on the top of the leaderboard of Division 2.
The most interesting fact is that in 16 games played this weekend nobody lost!
Well played guys and my congratulations go to the team captain Kevin McCarthy!

You could follow the top games on-line on 4NCL website if you wished to.
Yesterday there was one game which attracted me very much. Two grandmasters, Mathew Turner (37) and Portuguese Luis Galego (46) clashed. As you may know, Mathew Turner had in the past certain links to Grantham, so he definitely belongs to this blog!
In this game he played Botvinnik set-up in English opening and despite that he lost the game is interesting. Mathew employed certain novelty which makes the game even more attractive.
