Three draws were agreed on the other boards.
Vassily Ivanchuk, who has lost already two games on time in previous rounds, surprised his opponent, Boris Gelfand (playing White), by his opening choice. Much to Boris' surprise Chigorin Variation of QGD was played and draw by repetition was made after rather wild game.
Levon Aronian agreed the draw with Peter Svidler after simplifications in Queen's Gambit Accepted.
Teimour Radjabov had to fight with Vladimir Kramnik having had a "hanging pawns" scenario and they had kept playing till the move 50, when they recognised futility of their attempts to turn the tables.
After the round 4 is obvious that the race will be between two top rated players, Carlsen and Aronian. At this moment both player have 3 points each and they are chased by Peter Svidler who has got 2.5 points.
4.1 Radjabov vs Kramnik
4.2 Aronian vs Svidler
4.3 Gelfand vs Ivanchuk
4.4 Carlsen vs Grischuk
