Grantham Lost To Spalding

In the Lincolnshire league, Grantham team went on March 5 to play an away match to Spalding.

With one of our players taking ill before the match Grantham had to default bottom board and this proved decisive as we lost the match 2.5-1.5.

On board one Ben Mason drew with Van Gemeren, in a game that Jan had the slight edge Ben was able to equalise the position after Jan possibly made an error. 

Gren Wollerton continued his good form with a draw against Ted Nottingham. Gren was probably in a slightly worst position but with the match lost a draw was agreed. Chris Cumbers had a quick draw against James Smith.
