Round 7 and 8 of 4NCL had been played last weekend in Puma Hotel Hinckley Island at Hinckley. Pandora's Box Grantham, this time beefed up by IM Jerzy Slaby on the top board, Paul Cumbers, who replaced Claudio Mangione and Daniel Wells started very well and in round 7 beat convincingly Rhyfelwyr Essyllwg 1 6½ - 1½.Next day Pandora lost to White Rose 2 3 - 5.

After this defeat Pandora's Box doesn't have an easy position and promotion into division one is less likely.
