Louth vs Grantham U155 3:1

Another match away in Lincolnshire league U155 did not go very well for Grantham team. This time again against the Louth Chess Club.

Joe Scarborough lost tragically after being a piece up and with Chris Cumbers struggling it became apparent that the match result would be decided on the top two boards. Ben Mason was never able to break through Ian Scott's defences and with Chris having already conceded the match was lost for Grantham. Even though Chris holt had the better of the position if the game effectively becoming a "dead rubber a draw" a draw was agreed.
