Spassky-Fischer: "The Battle of Siegen"

German city Siegen became the venue of 19th Chess Olympiad in 1970. In round 14 USSR played again against USA. Spassky had White pieces this time and both players simply followed their game (The Exchange Variation of Grünfeld Indian Defence) from Santa Monica till the move 12. Then Spassky deviated...
He launched a pawn storm on the king-side. However, this weakened position of his King a bit and Fischer got tad better game. But then he went wild... played several weak moves... and eventually he lost again.

Current score
Spassky 4 - 1 Fischer
