Team won 3:2 when Andy, Chris Holt and Ben Mason had won, Joe Scarborough and Chris Cumbers lost their games.

However, Chris Cumbers deserved to win. He had sacrificed an exchange and forced winning position but in spectacular fashion he lost the plot and finally the game! As he commented later in his e-mail: "Tragic! A senior moment of the most dramatic kind!"
Andy Hebert played top board this time and he displayed again his aggressive style. His opponent Mark A. Kenyon [163], won't have some nice recollections of this game. He was basically trapped into a theoretical line where he could have played for one result only. Lesson taken from this game is that the gluttony is way to hell. "You shalt never take a poisoned pawn..."
To finish this post I publish a lovely miniature when Ben Mason overplayed his lover rated opponent Alan Kenyon who finally blundered, however, the earlier stages of the opening are not uninteresting.
